A pigeon with a bad foot visited yesterday - wouldn't walk on it - so I'm going to see if I can catch it and check it out.
So far: the pigeons are smarter than I am, and all seem to agree that this is sus.

New pigeon showed up this morning - and I think all the ones that like to hang out on the street just found my roof, and they're all eating like they're starving...

The nitrites have plummeted, and both snails continue to live!

I've managed to keep the marine snails alive, and the nitrites dropped sharply over the weekend!
Discovered that Milldred seems to like dill. She destroyed an entire carrot chunk in less than a day. I strongly recommend millipedes as low-maintenance, super cool invertebrate pets.

This is about the most "me" selfie I think I've ever taken. I don't think you can really get a proper picture of me without the ocean in the background, which is a problem, being that I'm hundreds of miles away from it most of the time. I dream of it nearly every night.

See, this might look like the same picture from last week, but it's a vital update because those are two DIFFERENT pigeons. (The other ones stopped by earlier today.) Also a different cat.

Yesterday, I went to my LFS and traded an angelfish and all my firemouth cichlids (~17 of them) for some daffodil cichlids, a couple yo yo loaches (they're hired assassins that are going to take out my bladder snails), and some pearl danios. (All in separate tanks, obviously.)

Needed to get back on my art streak. Couldn't figure out what art I wanted to artinate. Solution: typed in "stock photo" and went with the first random guy that came up. Then I did a pigeon. I'm in my pigeon era.

My first hitchhiker - some kind of tube worm? There appear to be at least a couple living on the new piece of live rock, in spite of the terrible parameters.
