leaving aside my qualms wrt the current state of 2.5/theater in japan the morimyu music/writing holds up it's so emotive and lovely and (dare i say) more successful than the manga in many ways

this is the most ~~japanese summer~~ i've had in four years living here but it's incredible how much time you get simply from not having to wrangle students and showing up at police stations

i always think i'm pretty casual about les mis until inevitably i see it in person for the nth time and proceed to spiral for the following two months (rinse and repeat every two years from 2018)
