I tried calling a local animal rescue operation but they flew away before the rescue could respond. I hope they're okay.

PS: This was my first encounter with any wild bird.

This was a brief encounter but it's definitely a core memory even it was just for 30 minutes. I found this bird facedown at one of my school's entrances. I assumed they were dead. I picked them up.
