Political wonk; stying under radar for now because the world is scary
And why are the prices so high? It’s not the tariffs. The US has enough domestic beef to meet the demand.

A beef farmer friend says he’s not seeing much when he takes cows to market. That means it’s all being jacked up by middlemen.

There are several avenues to challenge this. The first that comes to mind is the 27th Amendment which prohibits Congress from increasing their pay.

Secondly is that it shouldn’t be retroactively applied.

And maybe 3rd; they were criming.

Will likely receive a pardon in a month or so

Didn’t they do something earlier in the year to make the entire 2 years a single “day” so they didn’t have to respond to stuff like this?

Probably just yellow paint and not even gold.

The only way to stop, discourage, or drive it back into dark corners of society is to prosecute the crimes into long prison sentences.

I doubt it will ever be gone entirely from American society.

The first Casino Royal had like 7 James Bonds in it. It can just be that’s the cover name we give to 007 and now there’s a new one assigned to that number.

David Hogg was right!

More primaries for Dems that are not willing to fight.

There really is no way to actually repay the tariffs.

Retailer or wholesaler pays the tariff and raises the resale price paid by the consumer. Govt pays the retailers back but the consumer never sees the money.

The next impeachment needs to make sure to throw the book at him instead of cherry picking a couple charges.

Invalidate pardons for as many people and charges as possible.

Thought you were describing the US but I guess shit is fucked everywhere.

Love NZ, hope you get it together soon.

Why should he care about affordability when none of it is his money?
November 10, 2025 at 12:24 AM
There is no way he does anything remotely worth that kind of compensation. He isn’t even a full time CEO since he splits his time between multiple businesses.

Maybe he’s worth like $100k/yr but that may be generous.

They only realize the lies they’ve been fed when it finally hits home.
November 8, 2025 at 4:34 PM
Agreed but have courts confirmed that?
November 8, 2025 at 3:09 PM
Does that also apply to other foods? Burritos? Gyros? Hot dogs?

What about pieces of a sandwich? Lettuce? Pickles? Deli meat? Bread?

I also heard the defense opened with “he did it” and they still couldn’t convince a jury it was a crime.

Weird that people haven’t learned to be paid in advance with that guy.

You stop paying we stop working.

I don’t care if people use, especially edibles, but maybe this is driven by most metro areas being flooded by the smell of mj everywhere.

This isn’t just one city, numerous large cities just smell this way now.

I wish.

Unfortunately projections only put Dems at like 226

He only has immunity for things in the constitution as duties of the President.

Unfortunately, lying falls into 1st A territory.
