I am pleased to announce a new board member to the Forest Ranger Foundation, Ron Konowitz. Ron is a living legend on skis in the Adirondacks, he has has worked closely with Forest Rangers on Emergency Incidents for parts of six decades now.

While I disagree with the renaming, there are going to be bigger, more important issues to fight. Let’s not get distracted, let’s pick our battles and be happy he is not naming Mount Trump.

Commentary- The @nysdec.bsky.social should adjust the ratio of ECO’s vs Rangers within the OPP. This would be a way to #AddNYSRangers without increasing budget spending. Compare jobs, crucial first responders vs #Peanutthesquirrel. overreach

The weather seems to have finally turned. This was the warmest fall I can remember. September is the new August, October is now like September…etc
