The tomato season has begun. I sowed my seed and just watered everything. Additionally to that I had a smaller greenhouse thingy and put some radishes in there. Most of what I sowed are Black Prince tomatoes. The rest are Marmande, Arancia, Black Krim, Adora, Jolie Cœur, Roma and a few random kinds.

Deep gauges in the middle of the plate. I cannot give that to anyone

I hate that my workbench has only a lock with keys as door knobs and I pull out the keys more often than I want to (i.e. never). Also I hate that opening and closing the door is dependent on something that can be lost. I just modeled a replacement in CAD. Sadly I won't print that in metal.

Help! I'm designing a 10'' mini rack server case. TBH it's meant as a birthday present for a friend but secretly it's also something I might want to build for myself. There are some designs but I don't like how they look. My design looks neat, is modular and has a cover and is printable on my Prusa.

Who could have thought that an old and worn-down part might be problematic as in adding more resistance and more wear and tear on other parts like the chain? This is how the old sprocket looks. After the change it's a difference like night and day, somehow surprisingly.

Got myself a really fine and smooth operating caliper at the flea market for just 9€. I had to clean it as it was gummed up with grime but it is better than the cheap one I bought new. This one has a number engraved on the back but doesn't bother me much. This one costs new about 35€. Great deal!

Printed and mounted. I think it turned out pretty neat. I had to drill the screw hole at the bottom a bit because of a mismeasurement but it is not worth a new print for that. Way cheaper than buying the original chain guard.

The tomatoes grow like crazy at the moment. This morning I plucked about 2kg and there are a lot more hanging.

I've repaired my broken Samson SR-850 headphones with an audiojack, as the original cable had its core broken after 4 years of constant use. Had to model myself a holder for the audio jack but now I can worry less about breaking a cable and can switch to shorter or longer cables whenever I like.

Here is a picture of the mid-stage of the blob removal. I had to use a saw to get rid of the most of the molten plastic. Also I'm aware of the fact that the plastic color is eerily close the the 80's horror film blob.

I have 3d-modeled and printed a magnetic miniature holder with magnetic caps. I used 18mm diameter ferrite magnets to fix the caps to the holder. The mini itself is glued with a glue strip to the cap. The holder has some teeth to prevent the cap from sliding off or rotate by accident.

I modeled myself a miniature holder. All downloadable and purchasable looked too complicated and not very fitting for my hand. It can fit bases up to 45mm. This holder is girthy enough not to immediately cramp my hand. It needs a fix for low-profile bases like in the picture but it's not a huge deal

Spent the last few days cleaning up my cellar. I bought some wall-mounted shelves for all the mid-size items. The drawers have mostly small parts in Gridfinity bins. I put a countertop on top to make this a small electronics workbench.

Had a quite toasty 3D printing experience. My Ender 3 power supply connector was all melty and charred. Luckily it didn't burn. I only found out because I smelled something plastic-y and because the heatbed took a long time to heat up.
