On June 12, 1964, on his way back to the jail following his arrest for staging a sit-in protest at a segregated restaurant, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr was placed in the back of a police vehicle with a police dog. Instead of being intimidated or scared, Dr. King and the dog became instant friends. 💙
