I am a designer and I like to make cool stuff!
At one point in my teenage years, being the unbearable putz that I still am, I began to seek out increasingly stranger and novel music. I am now listening to White Light / White Heat and I'm quite certain that that is what originally radicalized me around age 16.

Additional Kraftwerk take: Kraftwerk cannot create new materials because their materials can only truly be born in an age where modernist ideas were relevant and in vogue within the discourse. Kraftwerk cannot truly make a new album in this environment.
(tensions and Schneider's passing do not help)

Another Kraftwerk take: a (German!) colleague described Kraftwerk as "some techno act from many years ago" and that still haunts me. Techno! Kraftwerk predates the idea of techno and also I already expressed my gesamtkunstwerk take (which I stole from Uwe Schütte)
I am going with friends to see Kraftwerk tonight. You know what that means: I get to info dump how Kraftwerk more so than a musical act is in fact a gesamtkunstwerk and groundbreaking in fact in that way

An acquaintance was telling me that LLMs are saving a ton of work and told me his elaborate CV optimization workflow to send highly tailored CVs to get those interviews by asking two separate LLMs: one writing, one acting as HR to filter him out.

This man was unemployed for close to a year.

Wild how there are people named after animals like bears and lions and the occasional cat but no child is named after wonderful objects such as Pencil, Computer, or even Cookie

Spicy but true: Top Gun is a display of peak military aesthetic and is, really, a recruitment ad. That said it is made great by the homoerotic tension between Maverick and Goose. Parallels can and indeed should be made between their relationship and that of Achilles/Patroclus in the Illiad.

I saw somebody referring to Marjorie Taylor Green as MTG and all I could think of was "damn I'd go for some Magic: The Gathering right about now"

I know more than I should (or want) about Taylor Swift's Life of a Showgirl and I predict that Taylor Swift has begun a villain arc in which we discover she is, in fact, deeply conservative and will start presenting progressively shittier opinions.
