11 years ago my friends and I reached the Gulf of Mexico, 77 days after leaving Lake Itasca in northern Minnesota in a canoe. I had barely been in a canoe before we started that trip. We met incredible people along the way, and it was at times the most free I have ever felt. #adventure #canoe

Someone gifted me this book a while back, and I’ve recently returned to it. The prompts—each provided with additional text by a different writer or artist—are beautiful and useful and have helped to pull me out of some big slumps💙📚

International cat day?!

Almost 1 year ago exactly, I went for a walk on my 35th birthday. I found this tiny, abandoned kitten with a broken tail, in 100+ degree temps. I took him home, no one claimed him, and now I couldn’t imagine my life without him

When my newborn niece came home and they brought her outside, a frog jumped onto her to visit. So I made her this cross-stitch. All that’s left is adding her name across the top and cleaning it up a bit 🧶

Some good April reads. I have to say, one of the most unexpected joys of my reading life this past year has been discovering the genre of short Japanese novels about magical cats. So not something I ever thought I’d love, but truly a balm for hard times 💙📚
