It's only June, with weather events like this projected to increase annually.
IDK what the solution is here. But I do hope we try to explore reliable, sustainable development projects to improve in the long-term, & Zohran seems to have an intrest in renewable energy, too. We'll see what happens.

But I'm also concerned for those who need certain things to work for their health and how prepared we are for things to potentially get hotter.

I know this all probably seems whiny to many people, but me being sweaty isn't the takeaway here. Yes, I'm annoyed it's 87° in my apartment right now with the AC on. Yes, I'm annoyed I have to sit in the dark because my lights are so dim it's not worth it.

I can’t speak for everyone, but in my area, when temps approach or reach 100°F, I can't run my AC alongside something as basic as a lamp. (Con Edison needs to limit the power to such an extent to prevent a blackout – which would obviously be a lot worse.)
