Furthermore, this example/scenario could invigorate transatlantic ties by cultivating parity and mutual reliance, i.e. a true equal partnership between US and Europe. Of course without diminishing American primacy within the current world order. 2/2

Good question! By strengthening Franco-British nuclear coordination within NATO, Europe could recalibrate the alliance’s balance, elevating its strategic weight while complementing, not supplanting the US extended deterrence. Thus confounding adversaries & fostering collective resilience. 1/2

We dove into a 'what if' scenario: what if European allies lose faith in US security promises? We looked at how if US and NATO guarantees become unreliable, an Anglo-French nuclear umbrella (or any European one) might not be credible.
