Because hate = ignorance. Hateful people live in their own little bubbles of hate and they have no idea what’s really going on. Not really.

But I think a good point to add is that sometimes it’s so hard to be kind in the face of hatred and scary things in the world because you’re so aware of all the cruelty and injustice.

It doesn’t sound weak. I promise it doesn’t. I’ve been trying my damndest to do this since November.

I picked up more volunteer shifts at my local library. Joined a local community writing initiative and try to do small acts of kindness for people when I can.
