I haven't updated Calibre in quite some time like I basically use it for a few specific plugins for format conversion and that's it like I keep a Ubuntu 20.04 VM around just to run Calibre with those plugins because they don't work on modern Ubuntu

I suspect that this is going to break a lot of people's muscle memory like if there is a 250 millisecond difference in timing due to some fancy animation it is going to break people's muscle memory and a lot of IT people are going to be annoyed about that
