It's no longer daylight at 5:00 or even 6:00 a.m. anymore. From my run this morning, the moon and Jupiter just before dawn. Then, later, a chilly October morn.

I'm in Lyon.
Cathedral of Lyon exterior, front of late gothic church with a tower on either side. Interior of the church, the apse specifically, the stained glass windows are very blue. A beautiful stained glass window, arched, with what seem to be viney flowers in the design (no religious figures in the base of the design). The nave of the church with view of the apse and the stained glass is all very blue.

And from the bird feeder cam today, we have a #housefinch and a #redbreastednuthatch. I love the nuthatches, they're so cute and make cute calls.

A red-breasted nuthatch seen in 3/4 profile. He has an orange breast, of course, and a white stripe on his mostly black head. He's really cute.

Saw this #bird today, a #redbreastedsapsucker. I don't think he should be pecking at the metal bits of the fence, though....
A (likely) male red-breasted sapsucker on a fence with a metal grid. He's seen in 3/4 profile, with a pointy beak, a really red head and breast, with white stripes on black wings. He's really cute.
