yes exactly!!! I mean I think you have to have SOME self esteem to even post covers, right? like you clearly want eyes on your work / attention, so I think that there’s an understanding that people will probably compliment it? It’s just really incomprehensible behavior to me

I guess they have bad self esteem but?? I thought it was pretty well understood after like, middle school age that responding to compliments like that is really rude (and bad for your mental health)
