I think these are beautiful. I'm a home sewing but I look at these and can't imagine how you take them from beautiful drawings into amazing outfits

The first holiday without the parents was with a friend to Blackpool. I know these days this will sound ridiculous but we didn't need to know a different language, we knew the food we were eating and had a brilliant time on the Pleasure Beach. Yes I'd had holidays abroad previously with parents. 🤷🏼♀️

Oldham's Wakes week was the last week in June. A Scottish town had their Wakes the week before Oldham and I think this is where the saying came from as the Scottish visitors were far more generous with their spending than the Oldhamers. Well Oldham was on the Lancashire/YORKSHIRE boarder. 🤣

I have to say I'm from Oldham and this was said to me by a Blackpool landlord. I'm sure he substituted whichever town the person he was speaking to came from for Oldham. It didn't put us off. There was always one holiday in Blackpool per year. Usually during the lights.
