Second day of the @addiction-ssa.org conference begins with a session on Emerging frontiers in behavioural addictions. Prof. Henrietta Bowden-Jones starts with an overview of gambling treatment in the UK from the first national gambling clinic in 2008 to NICE guidelines in 2024.
It's day two of our conference, opened by Prof Henrietta Bowden-Jones (OBE), who is discussing the prevalence rate of gambling. She set up the first NHS treatment centre in the UK for the treatment of gambling disorder in 2008.
