This has a mild side-effect: the [local/state/national] grid is partially subsidised by everyone connected to it. Unless your bill has a standard fee (regardless of usage) that covers the cost of maintenance FULLY, net metering or min. usage may result in a lack of maintenance. So will profit-focus
