The one thing I miss about the netbook era is small-ish devices with a keyboard. I'd love an eight inch (tops) laptop to do my writing on.
With that said, part of my my commute doesn't bother me despite the length. Sitting on a train going through a city listening to Synthwave and writing? Yes.

Technically since you're not using it to have a fire it's cool (relatively speaking), not hot.
