"I'm glad there's a ceasefire, technically speaking I'm glad.... but it's possible I might be having a depression since everything feels a bit numb..... Praying the ceasefire will last (even if I constantly worry it will break again) Hoping that aid can now get in to gaza somehow, hoping that psychological help can get in too. And that all the war criminals will face justice in courts. There needs to be legal consequences for Israels committed genocide in Gaza. In fact there needs to be legal consequences for every genocide, whoever commits it, in wherever part of the world it's happening. Feels strange to try and write in a world on fire. 📚❤️‍🩹 Picking up my works in progress, putting them down again, picking them up again, in a never ending cycle.... But maybe a way forward is trying to make space for both activism and writing, making space for both grieving and the joy of art and creating? And sometimes the activism and art can even overlap 💭 And other times the art making and writing is the escape from the world, a small break, a moment of self care. I believe it must be possible to navigate all of this, to make space for everything #writing #life balance

"Same as last year I'm boycotting Eurovision this year too. Israel/countries committing genocide shouldn't be allowed to compete. Russia (who attacked and is at war with Ukraine, and committing war crimes) was banned, so Israel should have be banned from the competition too, but wasn't, it doesn't make sense.
