Thinking along the lines of something like the Future of Test Cricket, two tiers, what should ideally happen vs what will happen, connecting from the ideal part would be the latter end of the ep on Match Fixing. It's like one of those really cracked pitches back here in India, people think it'll rag, but often go for 500 plays 500. Looks can be deceiving :)

The obvious reply is, you sign an implicit social contract, enjoying the benefits of civilization for some of your rights, but where and when did anyone take my signature? No one, and never. Will entertain counter arguments!

A person would be called brave in the 1850s for beating their wife for being disobedient, now it leads to hanging on a rope. Essentially, their actions' consequences aren't absolute rather dependent on the time of their birth - not in their hand. Makes it a bit ridiculous to me.
