PKK leader Öcalan has done his part again and assumed his historical role with full responsibility. Now it is time for the state to play its role. Unless the state takes constitutional steps, it would be very naive for the PKK to dissolve itself.

Hakan Fidan was head of the MiT when Turkey first established relations with the Nusra Front. Now it is time to officially shake hands with the jihadists they have trained. Perhaps Fidan's plan, devised years ago, has worked like clockwork.
