I dont think that is true. I think when you first start a Ph.D it is easy to sacrifice (personal life, financially) for your pursuit of a degree. But those life sacrifices are unsustainable - folks want to finish so badly so their other life goals arent on hold anymore

Feeding every medicaid recipients personal health, personal identifying information, and income info into AI seems safe and secure 😂 im sure we can find a trustworthy tech company to oversee that that wont gouge the government as a contractor

Part of the reason this system is so inefficient is because its not secure to send personal identifying information via email. I cant think of something less secure with less privacy protection then feeding health, income, and PII info into AI…

Mass layoffs at private companies are sad too? Also if Amazon goes down for a week it doesnt matter - if social security or the VA or NIH or the FDA does people can lose their lives

I prefer the spoon. Without it there is nothing to make it distinguishable from a generic protest logo. With it is more symbolic of federal employee resistance

They have been reinstated but if you actually talk to USDA employees, there is no plan or guidance how to get their employees back onboarded - this also assumes that they want to come back, I suspect many will not

Midterm reviews are typically done in April, it could be wise/worthwhile for folks to have one done early
February 14, 2025 at 7:07 PM
Most probationary folks won't have a performance review yet unless they were hired in May 2024 or earlier
