In beetween this, my day job and life. I was lucky enough to have Charlotte Northover agree to help me bring this story to life. every word she read aloud, I had goosebumps. every emotion felt, every bit of humour brought the laughs.

And to anyone reading this who’s struggling - with focus, emotions, or life itself - take that pain and shape it into something good. It doesn’t have to be perfect. It just has to be yours.
It’s hard to start, but once you do… you’ll fly. 💙

And it’s also for my mum and dad, Dawn and John, who taught me the values that keep me going - to work hard, stay kind, and never stop believing in something better.

Everything I create - every story, every line - is for Michelle, George, Oliver, Charlie, and Henry - and even Rupert, who’s never far from my side. They’re my drive, my grounding, and my reminder of what really matters.

Releasing The Seat Left Empty first was terrifying… but the feedback, support and kindness I received honestly blew me away. It gave me the motivation, encouragement, and bravery to keep going - and to share more of my world with you all.

It might sound messy, but that’s been my way of managing my emotions - turning distraction into creation.

Over the past 12 months, I’ve been working on and off on The Hollows - a story that’s grown with me through every restless night. And when I’ve lost focus on that, I’ve flitted between The Seat Left Empty and Joe: One Moment at a Time.
