Lone Wolf is just £1.99 on Kindle today (not quite the 99p it says here, but almost) - presumably this is a good thing? Anyway, get it here: tinyurl.com/27xy5utr

Excuse me for tooting Lone Wolf's trumpet, BUT...Silvia Federici is an absolute hero of mine. One of the very best. Her work has inspired me for many years. Last year I got to interview her - turns out meeting your heroes is great. So I'm just over the moon with this endorsement of Lone Wolf.

This, by @joannapocock.bsky.social has blown me away. It’s about restlessness, and the beautiful, ungraspable moments when no one knows where you are - it’s about nostalgia, and ageing, and the hollowing out of public space - & it’s about why we need each other to survive. Out 14/8 - please read it!

Worried Alicia Montgomery readers are going to be bitterly disappointed by Lone Wolf

It's in the wild! I've been thinking about this book for 6 years, and today, at last, it's out. It's a story about change, and how we cope with change, and how we think about our future. There's a lot of hope in it, and really, at heart, it's a love story. I hope you enjoy it 🐺 tinyurl.com/yu7y5jn4

An early photo of Slavc, the day he was collared with a GPS tracker. No one knew that 6 months later he would set out on a 1000 mile walk across Europe, ultimately repopulating the Eastern Alps where the wolf had been extinct for centuries. Lone Wolf out in less than 2 weeks! Photo: Mojca Hrovat

This is the journey that Slavc the wolf made through the Alps, more than a 1000 miles, his GPS collar logging a point every 3 hours. Crossing highways, swimming rivers, climbing mountains. 10 years later, I did the same walk - Lone Wolf is published 29th May. Maps by the brilliant Ulli Mattsson.

Lone Wolf is out in less than a month now, so I'm going to post some photos from the journey over the next few weeks. Here's where it all began, with me at the bottom of a hole in the south of Slovenia. This is the den where Slavc was born, the wolf that I would follow across Europe.

Thanet! I'll be doing an event the night before Lone Wolf's release at Faith in Strangers in Margate, in conversation with Chris Macdonald (author of The Actor). 28th May, 6.30pm. Books on sale, bar open, delicious menu - would love to see you buytickets.at/adamweymouth...

I can’t fathom how good, how prescient this is

The proofs have arrived...It's been quite a journey, in every sense. It's a book I'm very proud of, and I'm so grateful to everyone who helped make it happen. It's about love, farming, climate and populism. And wolves! Published 29/5/25. You can pre-order now (UK) at: tinyurl.com/5282svnv
