I recall seeing the word inflation make its way into advertisements quite early in 2022. Now starting to see it happen with tariffs as well.

Heh, 2016 to 2024. RIP to gas tax, congestion fees, etc. (though there were some limited Uber fees along the way.) Always seemed like the cleanest political maneuver, even if less than ideal policy.

I like capitalism perfectly fine, don't even actually have an issue with this, but just want to point out that it would have been parody 10 years ago.

How come with these, if Trump’s coming in at 3.5%, Obama (Barack, that is) doesn’t as well?

‪I guess it reflects perceptions of either his interest, relative to Trump, in doing it if were allowed, or Trump’s willingness/ability to force the issue even if it’s not.‬
