Dog dad, Cubs fan in the Bay Area, angry Democrat (aren’t we all?)
They and their families dodged a bullet, learning they have real problems before they got engaged instead of when the wedding deposits can’t be returned or a few years into marriage.

Neither is as good as Swanson-Hoerner.
Also unclear that Allen will stick as a full-time player with his bat.

The Arraez contract is going to surprise a lot of people, including Arraez and his agent. He’s 1B/DH in a crowded FA field.

Is Knoxville blue?

I have a friend who was a member of the Knox county democrats and was frustrated they were always losing elections.

Nashville isn’t a red city. Very blue. It’s just if you get 50 miles outside the city.

You’re right about the San Diego mayor. But even then, the city voted heavily blue.

The number of big plays in the 9th inning alone is wild. Blue Jays could have won in the top of the inning and had two great chances to win in the bottom of the inning. With better base running or that fly out carrying a bit more, it’s a totally different story this morning.

But totally agree signing a long-term deal with the Angels was a curious choice.

People don’t appreciate how consistently good Betts has been over his career. But he’s not Mike Trout who has like 7 top 2 MVP finishes.

I think Trout believed they’d build a winner around him or wanted to bring a championship to Anaheim rather than joining an already great team.

But I can’t remember a post season where teams seemed to LOSE games with bad plays, bad baserunning or awful managing, capped off by a meatball to Miguel Rojas and Isiah Kiner-Falefa’s baserunning in the 9th that LITERALLY cost his team a World Series.

Clearly you should have withheld the newsletter from thousands of subscribers for the one person who was checking their email and watching on delay.
I feel for the person who had the game spoiled but don’t go online if you’re watching a game on delay.

Still think it’s a stupid take? Ohtani wasn’t sharp, even in the first or second, and now has them in a deep hole.
As you said, he has ALL the starters, why use the one who doesn’t have much rest?
