I think you played this for me when we were in junior high. I'd forgotten about it for decades but when I found these files on YouTube and heard the sound effect of people being turned inside out, it all came back it me.

When I came home after my first year in college, I had the same players return on a mission to run the Red Zone blockade and retrieve valuable corporate data from one of the plague ridden cities. They'd completely forgotten about the vampires. They encountered their old characters as vampires.

Nope. They got eaten. And then the resupply ship, crewed by players who missed the first game, showed up with a new shift of workers for the mining station and they got eaten.
Then a weird plague broke out on the system's primary garden world. Imperium declared the planet a Red Zone.

Sure, but without a planetary atmosphere to disburse and refract the light, the effect was extremely destructive. Yes, the vampires could get around in direct sunlight with vacc suits and the helmet's glare shields down. They navigated using the helmet's video heads up displays.

Nope. They ran around in hard vacuum without a care in the world. Although, if they were blown out an airlock they did not appreciate tumbling in zero G until being exposed to direct sunlight.

I cross bred Outland and Salem's Lot for a series of Traveller games in high school. My favorite moment was a player exclaiming indignantly "Vampires can't use shotguns!"

I'll follow this up by skipping a couple meals and sending the money to whoever primaries Scheumer from... well, not exactly the left. More like whoever is willing to choose action over inertia.

The average NRA member's idea of "government tyranny" was the government stopping them from terrorizing their fellow citizens and depriving them of their civil rights. As long as the tyranny is aimed at POC, women, LGBTQ and non-Christians, they won't say boo to a goose.

What American knock offs? To my knowledge there is only Luc Besson's masterpiece, much like there is only one Highlander, one Robocop, and two Alien films.
