I couldn’t agree more. I keep hearing it said that last season *should* have been our transition year, and a lot of fans appear to be ignoring that. I’ll take winning the league followed by a transition season every time…

Also very true. If it had been the same as last season, where we’d played both teams at Anfield, I think it would have been a very different game. In any case, one of our hardest fixtures is now out of the way and we move on again…after the international break.

Absolutely. One great strike, a looping header that could so easily have gone wide and a deflection. Add to that a perfectly good goal chalked off, and it’s a different story. My only complaint is that we didn’t do enough to stop crosses and shots.
