What about collector or local streets? In my neighborhood they are bidirectional, but I've long thought making them 1 way could improve traffic flow and create space for bike lanes.

The state should use AI to help automate processing building permits. Faster permits means cheaper construction and less time to rebuild. This is harder than building a chatbot, and requires working with local governments. But, the benefits can be huge.

Well as a Californian who voted for a high speed rail project years ago that's still not here, it's not that I don't want it or think we need it. It's that I don't think we are capable of building it.
