But agreed, I stay overseas for work a couple of months a year, and it’s always nice. Particularly in Japan.

Depends on the car for sure. There’s nowhere here that requires paying for parking, gas is dirt cheap now where I am. Changing my oil in my garage cost me about $30 every few months, not really any other necessary regular maintenance to speak of outside of the bigger stuff every four or five years.

Schedules and people would always be an issue, but like I said, not worth it… Hence my reply.

Being able to jump in and go anywhere I want, anytime I want with no regard to any schedule or having to worry about crowds.

Would love to be able to save $1,000+ a month on costs associated with having a car. It gets really old. The freedom is nice, but isn’t worth it.
