Lawyer. Our shared struggle. Occasionally post about atrocities because: human. But mostly about failing politics, laws and legal structures.
I wrote this for my group chats but wanted to share it more widely. Living under a far-right-influenced government in Sweden, I reflect on why stepping back from constant reaction is sometimes necessary to stay grounded, strategic, and capable of long-term resistance.

On organising, burnout, and resistance under rising authoritarianism

Lawyers cannot salvage a system that functions precisely as designed. Lawyers operate within legal frameworks produced by the states that benefit from repression. Many lawyers know this intimately: open.substack.com/pub/adamlant...

Not yet. Not if we don’t build it.
Social Democracy will never fix Capitalism.
Because it can’t be fixed.
It will surrender to capital every single time.
Reposting one of my most thorough pieces I have written on the topic.

Okey. Men out there. Orange week is coming to its end. If you haven’t read bell hooks book ”the will to change: men, masculinity, and love”. I ask you why not?

Men. If we can’t love ourselves then we are the problem, this book is a start. 🧡🍑

This ”ceasefire” is terrible for Palestinians. Don’t be whitewashed or westernised that this is progress. It’s only progress for USA, Israel and the western leaders that will score points to continue its crime.

Once social change begins it cannot be reversed, you cannot un-educate the person who has learned to read, you cannot humiliate the person who feels pride, you cannot oppress the people who are not afraid anymore.

"We are behind you.
What does it mean?
Are you walking as an army of moral warriors behind me?
Or are you just hiding?
Is expressing support toward me the best you can do to contribute to end this genocide that has our fingerprints all over it."

It’s wild how much money the far-right are willing to throw away just to keep adults, youth, and children locked up. Imagine investing in a society where people can live without shame, fear, or hunger.
And don’t even get me started on what they waste on arms and war. #imperialism #nato #antiwar

If advocating for human rights makes one a 'terrorist,' then only the Global North - and particularly the US and Israel - should be allowed to be named after that term.

I’ll speak plainly.

If the genocide in Gaza and a potential nuclear attack on Iran is not enough for the so-called democratic West to justify a global insurgency against the Israeli state to dismantle it, then no such justification for any insurgence, can ever exist.

The Court of Justice of the recent ruling on Malta’s citizenship-by-investment scheme is more than a legal footnote. It’s a spotlight on the commodification of belonging.

Fascinated how cool and natural it is today to just go about your own business looking fancy.

Caring and showing some civil courage is frowned upon - like who do you think you are? Is a common thought among the majority who are silently criticising people that stand up and care.

When billionaires say 'pro free market' they can make it sound like they are on the side of the consumer, who will naturally think of free competition, product improvement and price reduction. But they don't mean free competition, because that needs tough regulation to stop monopolies forming.

This idea that progressives need to be more like conservatives or the far right to attract voters? No, thank you. I don’t want to prey on vulnerable people’s fears or be fooled by rich people’s vulgarity.

Concerned by the critique of Swedish authorities. We’ll miss them once they’re gone or decreased.
Imagine needing a court ruling to adjust your taxes, claim inheritance, fix a water issue. Privatised public services mean more lawsuits over price gouging, unfair contracts, and service failures.
