It’s the players than we’ll have to leave out of the squad which is the concern, I’d say. Maybe one to debate on the 16th! 🤣

Fortunately we can classify Bergvall and Gray as B-List from next season, and thereafter Club-trained for as long as they stay with us. Vuskovic too, one year after them.

Reality is that, though, he *is* home-grown by the rules - three years up to the age of 18. But he’s not *club-trained* - and that’s the area where Spurs are suffering in European football. We are fine for home-grown.

Apparently the view is that a club will pay 12-15m for him. If he’s in the Spain squad then you’d imagine there’d be buyers. So I agree with Jill; we’re not gonna give him away for free. But to think we could have had another couple of years of Erik the nutter supersub AND had £25m left in the bank.

I’m very-much in the “30-seconds max” camp. If not obvious in that time; stick with the onfield decision. But it *is* right that clear errors are overturned.
I’d also allow far more leeway on what represents “level”; if not obvious then deem it level. But sadly that would require a change of law 😔

… a fact that gets too easily ignored amongst the headlines (not for a minute saying that the club shouldn’t be spending more - they need to to compete - but the stadium interest is a huge mitigant)
