My favourite thing about the AWS outage is some people writing on Bluesky with true sincerity “we shouldn’t put all our eggs in one basket”.

Or even better listing which services are down. If they were all in one basket you wouldn’t be able to tell me. And it would be everything.

I just panicked I was missing a teams call before I realised a wood pigeon in the distance sounds a lot like the dialling sound on teams. My realisation of this feels like a damming indictment of remote work.

Listening to a bunch of podcasts analysing the trump win, and hearing the idea repeatedly that the Democrats need to focus less on LGBTQ+ issues. I think this is the wrong take.
