L., Langeneck Joachim, Grosse Maël, Vieira Pedro E., Hernández José Carlos, Sampieri Bruno R., Kasapidis Panagiotis, Bakken Torkild, Carvalho Susana, Ravara Ascensão, Nygren Arne, Costa Filipe O. (2025) A sea of worms: the striking cases of the European Perinereis cultrifera and P. rullieri (Annelida: Nereididae) species complexes, with description of 13 new species. Invertebrate Systematics 39, IS24059. https://doi.org/10.1071/IS24059" The photo features the anterior end of the worm, its posterior is cut of at the left part of the photo. It is shown from the dorsal side. It has parapods (as nereidids do), is yellowish with a light pigmentation pattern on the dorsum and prostomium, and its pharynx is slightly everted.

A month ago we did an experiment with light traps to see how different colours of artificial light at night might attract (or repel) different marine #invertebrate species. My master student has been analysing samples and the first results seem exciting! But gotta wait for more data... #ALAN
A row of plastic bottles with glow sticks in different colours in them. There are three bottles with green, three with red, three with blue and three with white lights. The photo is taken at night and only the glowing sticks and the bottles show on the photo, the rest is dark.
