Thoughts on the M3GAN 2 trailer then? Seems like they are really leaning on “A.I. is so cool and M3gan is the good one” trope

I feel that would be every tech bro’s fear if movie did expose A.I. was just a marketing scheme rather then going full SkyNet.

Sinners, Warfare, Drop and I guess Havoc since we haven't had a new Gareth Evans movies since 2018.

This does now make me interested to read the original book because it sounds more compelling as a story than what the Russo's delivered. It does make me frustrated at how they talk about their "vision" as directors sounds like tech bro's selling the latest A.i. app.

This felt like I was watching an extended Black Mirror episode with the edges sanded off to be more like a Disney movie by the end. The neorocasters and the dead brother-reincarnated as-cartoon-robot seems really bleak yet there are very few scenes that explore it.

Yeah you could really feel at times they were trying to make things long and repetitive to fill Netflix's mandatory 13 episodes. Like there is a whole episode of just Matt and Karen just hiding in a church for an entire episode that could have been a few minutes.

Felt like if the camera of Bird Man was the main character. Worked even better on a second viewing.

Its even a bigger problem depending on what version did the Academy watch. Was it the version before or after the director admitted the deepfake was fixed after its theatrical run.

Plus the cat does have an arc. So can’t pretend nothing happens because they didn’t cast some recognizable celeb to voice a feline

I feel most what are talking about are how divisive it is as Part 1 and not feeling like a full season

Plus the significant of plot towards the returning characters doesn't make sense outside Wolverine. Like I barely remember Pyro was from X-men 2 and Last Stand. Yet his big double cross subplot is treated like a huge twist and gets lots of screetime.

Is Dwayne the problem himself with his movies? Both as a producer with franchise interests first and a lead playing it safe? CarryOn was good from a director that made two bland Rock movies, so I saw this next. Was frustrated how it revolved around his boring character then ripped JK Simmons Santa.

I purposely begged my family not to watch this as our choice of Christmas movie. Can’t stand to watch another one of these movies from the Rock

Wonder how he will torment his co-stars to get into character as a skull-faced sorcerer .

Is this score officially from the film's composer John Murphy?

Maybe one of favourite names now in honest trailer history is Gandalf the Jerk-@$$😆

I mean this category itself is kind of too petty for Denis's masterpiece. Yes great these movies weren't a huge financial loss. But hardly consider who made the biggest $$$ an artistic achievement.
December 10, 2024 at 2:27 PM
Without Denis as the sole visionary, I am not invested. When I hear fans criticize the movies should have been a tv season to flesh out more stuff, this feels like the perfect counter to that argument. Tv just feels like an excuse to elongate drama just to mimic the Game of Thrones effect.

Part 2 then feels like you are waking up just how the pacing, characters and even the visuals felt more alive and energized. Thus you then start to feel actual weight from the plot and character choices and how the events Paul perceived in his Part 1 visions differ from how everything actually plays
December 1, 2024 at 4:41 PM
Part 1 made me feel sleepy but in a good way like I am experiencing a lucid dream to reflect how Paul is experiencing his vision. Like what Jamis says, Part 1 is more made to be experienced rather than to resolve the plot. I know it doesn't work for some but it is fortunately for me.
