There is a connection through De Geer (see Wirta and Nováky) but I think it runs deeper and more consistent. After 1650 the English and Dutch traders are ubiquitous in Stockholm esp. So likely they oversee re-exports themselves. Swedish producers (maybe Swe shippers) but foreign organisation

Hello Gabrielle! I think you’re right. A lot of the English docs in the Swedish archives seem to be copies of the original depositions dispatched by the Swedish ambassador. I’ve never been in the Prize Papers archives. Would love to pick your brain or someone on your project re. Swedish ships.
