Another Danish artist illustrated Chesterton in the 40’ies: Svend Otto Sørensen, known for gorgeous H.C. Andersen illustrations. Here his wonderfully surreal front page for the Danish edition of The Napoleon of Notting Hill. The title translates back to ‘Lion heart and silver trumpet’ #chesterton

Beautiful beautiful lucid poetic prose, all about youth and adulthood, friendship and lonelyness, and the light and the air and the sky and the sea and Amsterdam and constant change… Nescio added to my personal pantheon of greats.

So many iconic David Lynch cinematic moments. I will forever obsess over the way he uses the sound and images of the hospital gas lights in The Elephant Man. Go back and watch. #ripdavidlynch

Thank you and RIP David Lynch. The master of dreams and nightmares, light and shaddow, sound and whistling potatoes. Changed my artistic sensibilities forever from the very first frames. #ripdavidlynch

Stuart E. Eizenstat was so powerful. Beautiful eulogy for Carter that with Shakespearian devices rang: But Trump is an honorable man.
