Something that continues to bother me is that del Toro used so little of Mary Shelley's writing but then includes the entirety of a Percy Shelley poem and ends with a Lord Byron quote.
I know why but there's a long and dishonorable tradition of the men in Mary's life overshadow her. The gall!

I don't think I liked anything about it.

I had to take a break after 90 minutes but I wanted to see how dumb it would get by the end. Del Toro is just not my guy; I don't like his style or his substance.
