So they're likely not using LLMs, especially since E33's director Guillaume Broche has already stated that he is against using LLMs in game development. This is just my theory based on my knowledge as a game designer, but odds are it's likely the case.

However about the theft part, likely what it was was UE5's toolsuite which allows for plugins that use generation to speed up process. Those tools reference contained assets from their own databases to create what you need as placeholders in your game.

Sure, and I understand that, my point was that there exist other forms of GenAI than just ones with LLMs.

Yes and no, procedurally generated is still a form of GenAI. While it doesn't use LLMs like you said, it's still based off the work someone else did and reconfigured and reproduced to create something.
