Yes, but not from one year to the next. Changing beliefs and preferences sharply at one point in time is impossible, I would guess. But we will check this better. Your work is truly inspiring. ;)

This is an interesting angle. However, Saudi Arabia lifted legal restrictions on female LFP (male guardianship) in 2018, and female LFP has almost doubled since (but still lowish at 35%). My great MSc supervisee student at @sriucl.bsky.social is doing the causal impact evaluation of this right now.

No other sacrament has a non-sacramental form.

Marriage as a non-sacramental institution had already existed long before the church declared it to be a sacrament. It might have been hard to argue how the new sacramental marriage differed from pre-church marriages or marriages between non-Christians (while still recognizing their validity).
