I’m feeling like Absolute Superman is in a bit of a sophomore slump. I think it’ll get better quality when we’re on to the next villain. That being said I think this line perfectly encapsulates the Siegel and Shuster’s Superman vision.

Simple and perfect panel from Superman: Kansas Sightings #1. New possibilities is a great encapsulation of Superman. I think it’s best to think of the whole concept as a fantastic science we just can’t understand yet as opposed to trying to apply sudo science explanations.

I also dig the Knights. I respect how clean their designs are. I think a lot of artists would have gone with a busy mech suit look yaknow?

Just read Krypto. #1 reads a lot like a basic World of Krypton #1 Little disappointing that something that’s a unique idea for a book there’s not a lot of creative ideas in it but it still feels possible that’s coming later.

I liked Supergirl #2 more than I liked #1, but it’s really got me thinking about this dilemma writing superheroes has were you want the antagonist to have a personal vendetta but you also don’t want any grey area that the hero has ever committed a sin.
