The economic argument for Scottish independence relied on exploiting the North Sea oil fields. Given the trajectory of climate science and policy stopping new licences from being issued, and decreasing fossil fuel prices with US increasing production, how would you suggest overcoming this?

True asylum seekers should be classified separately, but don't ignore the fact that thousands of economic migrants are illegally entering the country using refugee status to game the system, relying on our long process of appeals through the different courts to block their deportation.

Farming is a difficult industry requiring expertise and knowledge built up over generations- we must support them to protect food security. Labour's estimates of the number of farmers affected are low as they ignore the differences between agricultural and business property relief.

It is a betrayal of the public trust for politicians to renege on the policies they were elected for. Starmer's u-turns on policy have not been popular. Rejoining the EU on the sly would be the least popular move he could do, purely from the view that he would be undermining the democratic process.

Does your argument not support the valid reasons to be worried about family farmers being forced to sell their land? It will either be bought by large corporations or the state, permanently changing British rural areas and communities.

Furthermore, if anyone deserves to be in First Class and have the extra space to work, it would make sense for it to be the PM!

Reform are the larger threat to Labour than the Tories in most of their seats. I imagine that many Labour MPs would like their time in Westminster to last longer than 5 years. Regular people in towns all across the UK have been forgotten by Labour and they are disillusioned.

With the increased scrutiny of MPs and government officials accepting gifts it would have been catastrophic imaging for Starmer to accept the Chequers golf club membership. Additionally, perhaps he has no time or interest for the game. The PM's job is to run the country, not to play golf.

Recognise that it is a corrupt and broken Government that has mismanaged immigration into the UK to benefit large businesses resulting in wage suppression for working people. To think otherwise would be blind to reality. Furthermore, illegal economic migrants are literally stealing your tax money.

Agreed. We should not sacrifice our food standards or 🇬🇧 farming. Although a US trade deal would be great, it's not a requirement. most of our trade with the US is in services, and the rest made up from specialised manufacturing - both unlikely to be affected by tariffs.

Reality is that encouraging unskilled immigration results in wage suppression for working people already in the UK. Immigration is a good tool to benefit the UK economy - but only if the Government uses it properly. The Tories mismanaged immigration, and I don't see Labour getting control of it.

Farmers will follow the correct guidelines, processes and laws on peaceful protest. And I doubt they will block ambulances or emergency services. If they do then they should be held accountable. Trouble is that well meaning environmental activists such as JustStopOil have alienated the public.

It's important that the UK maintains a domestic supply of coal to fuel blast furnaces for steel production. Although Electric arc furnaces are being introduced they are limited in that they only produce lower quality steel. British coal and steel is critical to national security.
