Wishing Leon Bailey all the best, ok his form over the last couple of seasons dipped, but you can't say that the lad never gave his all. Sad to see him go. Hope he smashes it in Serie A. #AVFC

What a stinker to start the season. Rogers disappointing & Watkins hardly getting any service. I would have liked to see some subs made sooner, but that probably wasn't helped by the red card. Oh, and have referees been told never to call a foul committed by Dan Burn? #AVFC

So many positives to take from last night against Roma. Tielemans is hitting his stride already, Buendia looked a threat throughout and hope Insi gives him a chance. And Jimoh-Aloba & Illing-Junior impressed me in the 2nd half. I think I'm ready for football again. #AVFC

Hansen, Lowe & Daly all performed tonight. Henry Pollock doing Henry Pollock things is a joy to watch in a Lions shirt. Pretty sloppy 1st half from The Lions. 2nd half turned into a training session.

On tonight’s display, Ian Maatsen deserves to be our starting LB next season. Onana’s best performance for a while. Looked a bit on edge in the first half but dominated in the 2nd half. #AVFC
