Even if you earn enough not to be directly affected by the hard immigration stances I doubt the hateful rhetoric makes you feel welcome and I doubt it makes you feel secure in a new home knowing a change in circumstances could risk you getting a wage below the required threshold.

It’s like their reactions people have to seeing desperate people come over in flimsy small boats.
Some feel compassion and others just look at them with utter disgust and contempt.
It’s almost like pantomime villains it’s so 2 dimensional and hatful. They’ll be skinning their Dalmatians next.
