1. Use lawful civil disobedience, strikes, boycotts, and professional ethics codes to avoid becoming an instrument of repression.

When new policies start targeting, silencing, or excluding when power concentrates in the hands of an executive (President/dictator) “for security’s sake”, historians recognize the rhythm.

Not exactly the same, but I just had a friend ask me more questions about my absent father. I realized I knew the story, but it just never came up in conversation. It led to so many more conversations
