Dependent on your time commitment. If it’s a keynote address that needs a lot of prep time and editorial review then at least 5K, maybe 10K if they want additional time for small meetings or consultation (at a conference?). Small event with minimal prep, maybe 1-3K? These are guesstimates.

If you remove the shoehorned romance, the 2/10 science, incoherent plot, and the confusing geopolitical piece, there was an interesting concept in there somewhere.
