My mum fought liver cancer for two years in the UK. At hospital, after one surgery, I’d heard people complaining about paying for parking. I laughed at this expense. Living in the US, I knew the quality treatment she got would have cost hundreds of thousands of dollars. Our final bill was zero.

Our new healthcare system will be called “TrumpCare” which is funny because Trump don’t care. Basically 90% of the money goes into a Trump slush fund and the other 10% goes to eligible people (no Dems, no browns, no women) to pay the co-pay but the patient has to pay the rest.

Covid and Amazon had a lot more to do with this than crime, I suspect. That’s the case in SF at least. Once people like me stopped commuting to SF daily and buying food, going to CVS, etc. the lack of foot traffic resulted in retail space vacancy.
