Science isnt always pretty, but in this case it is. We just recovered our Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler from the western border of the #AMOC. Over the past 2 years it has collected valuable data on ocean current velocity, as part of a suite of sensor arrays across the depths of the N.Atlantic 🌊

Being an RSE isnt always just sitting at your desk. This week I aided in the deployment of the RAPID 26N WB2 sensor mooring for monitoring the change in the AMOC by optimising the tools used to verify and log the sensors going on to the mooring, all whilst aboard RRS Discovery.
