Many in the eco movement want to say that governments and corporations are evil or don't care.

But the simple fact is the people running them DON'T FULLY UNDERSTAND.

And the people voting for and buying from them DON'T FULLY UNDERSTAND either.

Never forget that when Seoul, Korea removed the Cheonggyecheon expressway in 2003 and replaced it with a restored stream, 1000 acre park and improved public transit, not only did it TRANSFORM the city’s public life and economic success, but the car traffic got better.

The car traffic got BETTER.

This is just so bad. I looked up some grants, just for fun, and this one about mild traumatic brain injury was flagged because it likely controls for socioeconomic status (what an awful word is that).

Cannot stop thinking about how Octavia Butler wrote a book in 1993 about climate change. It opens with deadly fires in LA in 2025. In the story, a fascist President has just won office with the campaign slogan "Make America Great Again."
